Worship

So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are citizens with the saints and also members of the household of God, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone.  In him the whole structure is joined together and grows into a holy temple in the Lord;  in whom you also are built together spiritually into a dwelling place for God.” ~ Ephesians 2:19-22 (NRSV)

At White Haven United Methodist Church, we embrace worship! Worship happens the moment we recognize God is in our midst. Worship can happen any time, any moment, any day of the week… Worship is not just about singing, it is about the joy of being in God’s Presence. But! We rejoice in gathering together as God’s Church.

The word “church” comes from the Greek word ekklesia, which means “an assembly” or “called-out ones.” We may gather to worship in a building, but we gather to worship as a body of believers. Whether it is on Sunday mornings to fellowship or to come together any day of the week as the body of Christ united, let us share the joy in learning His Word, praying side by side, singing boldly as one voice, and may we all grow daily and strive to become better equipped to serve Him through encouraging, supporting, teaching, or lifting up one another. We are, after all, God’s Church!
